Handicaps are used in many sports to equalize the chances of winning in competitions and archery is no exception. Archery competitions tend to have several medals awarded; generally Gold, Silver and Bronze in each category of archer. These medals are usually worked out by comparison of the archers handicap and the score shot in the competition in order to produce balanced scores for all the archers to level the field. There are also sometimes medals for things such as most improved handicap. Handicap values are calculated in accordance with GNAS rules and regulations. | ||||
